A must-have holiday cocktail: Amaretto CIDER Cranberry
Looking for an easy, original cocktail recipe that’s sure to make a splash at your next Christmas or New Year’s party? We’ve come up with a daring blend that combines the sweetness of almonds, the tartness of cranberries and the sparkling freshness of our Joli Rouge Limonade. Forget traditional punches and discover CIDER Cranberry Amaretto.
Not only is this cocktail easy to prepare in large quantities (ideal for 8 people!), it also showcases local products such as Quebec gin and almond liqueur(Avril for example – distilleriemariana.com/).
Easy Recipe:
To create a creamy texture and a beautiful mousse, we use egg white, and a simple technique called dry shake, which is performed directly in the blender!
Ingredients (For 8 servings) :
2 cups frozen cranberries (more for garnish)
1 cup Joli Rouge Limonade (our flavored cider, perfect for blending)
1 cup amaretto almond liqueur (such asAvril from Distillerie Mariana)
1/2 cup gin (choose a Quebec gin to encourage our producers)
1 egg white (for the mousse)
1/2 cup cane syrup (to balance the strong acidity of the cranberry and the bitterness of the gin)
Crushed ice
Fast, frothy preparation :
Blend: In your blender, pour in the frozen cranberries, lemonade cider, almond liqueur, gin, cane syrup and egg white.
Foaming and smoothing: reduce to a perfectly smooth, frothy juice. Make sure the cranberries are completely pulverized.
Serve: Divide the mixture between 8 glasses filled with crushed ice.
Garnish: Finish with a generous garnish of frozen cranberries to keep the cocktail fresh and for a beautiful presentation.
(You can also finish your can of Joli Rouge at this stage!)
Why is this cocktail the New Holiday Classic?
This recipe has been optimized to become your seasonal must-have:
Joli Rouge Limonade: Our cider is naturally refreshing, dry and fruity, making it an excellent ally for bold blends.
The Cranberry-Amaretto harmony: Cranberries, the emblematic fruit of Quebec, provide the necessary acidity that contrasts magnificently with the comforting sweetness of almonds (amaretto).
Cocktail with Cider: More and more people are looking for cocktail recipes with cider, as it’s a lighter, less alcoholic alternative to pure spirit bases.
Try CIDER Cranberry Amaretto this year. We promise it’ll quickly become your new holiday classic! Cheers!
